Yang Style Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Dao Yin, Meditation and the internal arts

Focus the mind, strengthen the body, nurture the spirit

Tai Chi and Qi Gong is a form of internal Martial Arts that is suitable for all ages and abilities. The physical movements we practice in Tai Chi and Qi Gong helps to improve, promote and sustain;

  • Mobility

  • Flexibility

  • Functional strength

  • Balance

  • Coordination

This class is beginner friendly and attended by experienced students, creating an accommodating and welcoming environment. Each class begins with five minutes of quiet meditation, followed by a gentle warm up to open up the joints and release tension.

“Tai Chi is a philosophy for living; the practice to be a centred, balanced and harmonious person in all situations throughout life. Relaxation and the letting go of unnecessary tension from the body and mind are the main principles emphasized. Constant refinement of this process results in an acute awareness of yourself, and later, others.”

-Wee Kee Jin

Together with the external benefits of Tai Chi are the internal benefits of;

  • Stress Management

  • Feelings of calm and peace

  • Slowing down thoughts and becoming present

  • Improving symptoms of Anxiety

A practice in the classical art of Tai Chi is for the balance of the body, mind and spirit.

It is about finding balance with what is going on inside you with what is going on outside you.

The result is the mind and body becoming a place of peace to reside inside of.
